One of the contractors of a major wind turbines manufacturer, installation and maintenance of wind turbines.

Project name:

Stabilizing and support of ERP system based on MSSQL database.

MS SQL Server 2000, T-SQL, VBS, C#.Net, MS Visual Studio, ETL, Crystal Reports, DTS, Syteline ERP, SunSystems Financials, SMTP, POP3, MS Query Analyzer, Citrix.

Project starting point description:

• low ERP system efficiency, often delays due to deadlocks of processes and faulty report implementation,
• high maintenance costs – high cost of external consultants and improper hardware solutions,
• difficulties with accounting consistency due to faulty process implementation.

Project tasks:

Application optimization and maintenance, development of new functionalities.

The Customer required 2nd level support, efficiency analysis and consistency check procedures were deployed, further functionalities were developed.

Consileons tasks:

• providing support to MS SQL DBA, Systeline ERP and SunSystems Financials administrators,
• preparation of database efficiency monitoring tools,
• preparation of ELT data warehouse and reporting procedures,
• development of patches improving usability and eliminating errors,
• accounting and warehouse data consistency analysis, development of reports and report templates,
• design and development of application interfaces for client-contractor communication, also providing logistic functionalities (based on SMTP/POP3).

Achievements:

• successful elimination of application delays,
• improvement of slowest reports by up to 90%,
• reduction of required servers by 33%,
• data consistency assurance between accounting and warehouse information.
